VTECS™ 2 Control Panel VF0054
Videoframe is very pleased to announce that AJA FS2 control capability is now available on both the VTECS™ 2 and VTECS™ 5 Control Panels. FS2 owners can control multiple FS2's and simultaneously control their FS1's as well. The VTECS 2 and VTECS 5 RCPs can be controlled by router tally and can perform router salvos. Control of other vendors processing equipment can be included by using a Videoframe Interface VNODE™. Call Videoframe at (530) 477-2000 for details, pricing and dealer contact information.
The VTECS™ 2 Control Panel is designed to provide general purpose remote control of a wide variety of television equipment but is particularly suited for controlling interface and frame sync units.
The VTECS™ 2 is configured for use by a built in flash memory based configuration file. This file provides the user with a large degree of flexibility in setting up the VTECS 2. There is no practical limit to the number of pieces of equipment that can be controlled. Direct control of routing switchers can be included in a VTECS 2 system as well as integrated router tally follow.
The VTECS™ 2 uses 100 Base-T Ethernet as a high speed communication link to equipment being controlled. Third party vendors such as Grass Valley and QuStream/Fortel have implemented the Videoframe VTECS™ protocol in their equipment and a direct connection can be made. For equipment that uses other protocols over Ethernet, RS-232, RS-422 or GPI links Videoframe has a complete line of VNODE interfaces to provide protocol translation. The VTECS™ 2 incorporates a complete SNMP agent for error monitoring by third party SNMP management software such as HP Openview.

Videoframe received a TV Technology STAR award for their use of Power over Ethernet technology in broadcast products. Videoframe makes a complete line of Power over Ethernet control panels and VNODES. Power over Ethernet products use the communication link for the power source rather than traditional wall powered supplies. Videoframe's newest PoE product is the Timelink VNODE™
Timelink VNODE™ VF0081
The Power over Ethernet PoE Timelink VNODE™ is the newest product in the Videoframe line of Power over Ethernet (PoE) control system building blocks. The Timelink VNODE™ enables broadcasters to link up to 3 pieces of equipment for shared remote control functions. The functions include follow functions, protocol translation, and other general remote control. Functions are accessed and programmed over 100 Base-T.
The Timelink VNODE has VITC and LTC time code inputs and will perform preprogrammed time delayed commands. GPI inputs and outputs are included as well as a full SNMP agent. This product supports SNMP and TCP/IP connectivity. Secure this and other PoE VNODES in Videoframe's NEW Snap-in / Snap-out Rackmount System. 2Ru and 4RU sizes are available with adjustable mounting depth for service loops.
